Commander Samuel Blyth and Lt. William Burrows
"The captain of HMS Boxer, Commander Samuel Blyth, was killed early in the action by a cannonball; had he lived he might have defended his ship more desperately, but it is not probable with more success. It was his fate now to receive like courtesy at the hands of his enemy. His remains, in company with those of the brave Lieutenant William Burrows, were brought to Portland, where they were interred with military honours in Eastern Cemetery. It was a striking and affecting sight, to behold two gallant commanders, who had lately been arrayed in deadly hostility against each other, descending into one quiet grave, there to mingle their dust peacefully together."

The food and drinks here are innovative and delicious. We came back here a second time for the cocktails, and decided to just have dinner here. The $5 shots are very good too. Definitely a highlight of our trip. Service was fantastic!

Beautiful cocktail bar in downtown Portland. We walked with no reservations and were luckily seated in the rear speakeasy section. Staff was friendly, great drinks, great bites, definitely worth a visit for a nice cocktail and some snacks.

Excellent *craft* cocktails and service! Steve was amazing- from his recommendations, preparation and execution of the drinks. Wish we lived closer- will be back again when we’re in town.Don’t pass over the milk clarified drinks- they have a depth of flavor that is delicious and unique, they take time to make- worth trying if you never have!

Favorite bar north of Boston. A must stop. Best drink comes with an ice diamond, goat cheese is to die for, and vibes are immaculate. Stop reading reviews and go here!

For how nice it was and where it was located the prices were pretty good. Go on Wednesday for the oysters.

Last visit was in 2017 so was happy to return when back in town. I got the Tom Yum Punch and loved it. Unique, refreshing and tart/savory. Those with me who were skeptical also enjoyed. More of a sipping drink to slow down with and enjoy. Others got the ship captain crew and the Road to Norumbega. All were good and our server was helpful in narrowing down our selections. We sat outside on beautiful May day, late afternoon and watched the people pass by…

Hands down the best cocktails I've had in New England. This place with it's unique and well done cocktails easily outdoes anything in Boston. Don't be afraid to try any of their "weirder" drinks. Those were the best ones.
